With the intelligence and diligence of human beings, our living standard has been improving through innovative inventions by great scientists. However, due to the limitations of human beings, we may encounter obstructions in our daily lives. For instance, we do not have an efficient method to keep ourselves warm, nor can we move as swiftly as animals. Bearing the theme “Nature”, the 46th Joint School Science Exhibition Preparation Committee hopes to make a breakthrough and integrate the characteristics of nature with our wisdom in order to enhance the quality of life. Students shall unleash their creativity through attentive observations of the surroundings and create unique products that will improve our daily life in various aspects. Furthermore, we hope that students will be inspired through different aspects of nature, including animals, plants and environment. Such investigations and observations could then be applied be to their work, displaying the combination of nature and the artificial world.
過往，眾多對社會貢獻良多的科學家發明了不同新穎的用品，使後世的生活素質得以提升。這些發明不但能夠方便日常需要，人們做任何事亦能更得心應手。但無可否認的是，基於人類的限制，我們在平日生活中經常遇到不必要的阻礙。無奈現有的發明卻無法彌補我們自身的不足。例如，人類不能像居住在兩極的動物一樣保暖，或者如爬蟲動物般快速移動。正因為動植物都有比人類優勝之處，我們應該向牠們好好學習。故此，第四十六屆聯校科學展覽籌備委員會把本年的主題定為「靈感始於自然 創意科學無邊」，希望在科學範疇上突破發展，嘗試參透大自然的智慧，將大自然的特徵帶入科技產品。我們盼望各參賽同學能夠發揮他們無限的創意，加上仔細觀察周遭事物，設計出一份獨特完善的計劃書。除此之外，我們同時希望各位同學可以從動物、植物及周邊環境，這三個大自然因素之中得到啟示，把他們的考察結果運用於設計上，並成功顯示自然與人工世界的融合。是次展覽最終目的是期望參賽者能精益求精，為現代科學揭開新一頁。
